Deciding Upon Topics For Your Blog

Many new bloggers start their first blog by just blogging about anything that comes into their head and end up with a broad range of largely unrelated topics. This is not all that efficient as many readers simply don't have time to wade through posts they are not interested in and it makes it more difficult to target monetization efforts.

When it comes to writing your posts you will be able to organise them into categories which makes it much easier for new readers to find your posts and its easy for them to see at a glance what your blog is about. When you just post a mish-mash of posts on all sorts of topics that are not really related then it can be more difficult to turn a one-off visitor into a regular subscriber.

Deciding on a Posting Schedule

Many people advise you to blog every day when launching a new blog with the theory being that the more you post the more people will come to your blog. However many blog readers find that blogs that post every day or even multiple times a day are simply too much and they can't keep up with them.

In my experience, the actual posting schedule really doesn't matter all that much. Many readers will consume their blogs via RSS feeds and will read your posts at their convenience, not yours. There are many successful bloggers that only post once a week.

One trend that I see with many blogs is that the blogger starts out enthusiastically by posting every day or even many times per day but over time he either loses steam, finds it too time consuming or simply runs out of stuff to say and then the schedule starts to slip and the posts become less frequent. This is noticeable to the reader and it does not look good!

It is much better to start out with a much gentler blog schedule and see how it goes for a few months rather than over-commit yourself at the beginning and then burn out a few months down the line. My recommendation would be to start conservatively and then increase it gradually if you feel the need - not the other way around!

What Style of Writing Will You Use?

Some people suggest that you alter your blogging style to fit your target audience but in my experience I find that it never works to try to blog in a style that is not uniquely you. Your blog is a reflection of you - your thoughts, your findings, your interests and passions.

My advice is simply to blog in your own style, whatever that means! Some people are very conservative, some people use very colourful language, others like to be controversial, others are very dry and matter-of-fact. Whatever you are, simply be who you are and write as yourself.

The only area where I might suggest that you alter your default style slightly is that of post length. A blog that is publishing 10 posts a day would probably do better with shorter, snappier posts than a blog that is publishing only once per week.

It really doesn't matter what your style is because the readers who like your style will stick around and subscribe and the ones who don't, wont! Simple as that really! There is no way that any single style is going to appeal to everybody so don't try! No matter what your posting style is, there will be people who like it and some who don't, but it never pays to try and be something that you are not.

The students Jeb Harrison teaches in his economics classes at Pocatello High School in Idaho have learned one thing for sure about these hard times: for $5 you can get a 14-inch pizza with one topping at Molto Caldo Pizzeria, just down the street.
Earlier this month, after residents of Pocatello rejected a school levy intended to help address a depleted budget and rising costs, Mr. Harrison decided to find a way to help. He approached Dan McIsaac, the pizzeria owner, and brokered a deal.
If Mr. McIsaac paid about $315 for 10,000 sheets of paper for Mr. Harrison’s classes, more than a year’s supply, the pizzeria could run an advertisement across the bottom of every sheet handed out in class.
“Wow,” said Mr. Harrison, echoing the response of some of his students to the $5 pizza offer, “that is a pretty good deal.”
In the weeks since, Mr. McIsaac said, his lunch traffic has been fairly flat but his dinner business has increased 3 percent to 5 percent. The new patrons are mostly students’ parents.
So far, no one has accused him or Mr. Harrison of exploiting students.
Mr. Harrison said that he had no financial or other interest in the restaurant, and that the idea had helped him teach how advertising works.

The economic state of California holds a direct influence on the monetary system of the United States of America, due to the fact that the state pays more than as to the benefits it receives from monetary funds and benefits.

There are at least four major economic regions surrounding California. Hollywood, whose movies and projects cost and create a lot of money. California Central Valley, responsible for agriculture and the produce that supplies the state and its surrounding neighbors. Silicon Valley, which deals with the production, creation and development of computer hardware and electronic devices. And the wineries of California, particularly Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley and others.

By 2002, these regions were divided and more were added to the classification system. Among these were: Trade, Transportation and Utilities, Government, Professional and Business Service Providers, Education and Health, Leisure and Hospitality, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Construction, Information, Internet Business and Marketing and Agriculture.

The state also draws a lot of its income from tourism and international trade; after all, California IS the 'melting pot' of cultures in the United States. The tourism department makes at least an annual income of 134 billion dollars; with one third of that only coming from exports. The 96 billion something dollars left comes from revenue from direct traveling in to California.

California also competes with the other states in terms of agricultural produce. This includes the production of wines, cheese, dairy products, fruits and vegetables. As the proud owner of a small neighborhood business I am always looking for free sales tips and sales help. Opening an Italian eatery had always been my dream. I knew that one day I would have my own restaurant and be able to share my family's recipes and great food with the rest of the world. Located in New York City, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), one of the largest stock exchanges in the world allows stock to be easily bought and sold. There are over 3,200 companies listed on the NYSE. Anyone, through a broker, is able to buy and sell stock efficiently between each other through the NYSE.

The Hybrid Market, which began in January of 2007, has turned everything in the NYSE electronic. Before, everything happened on the floor, but now stocks can be traded electronically. The NYSE is very efficiently set up. Stock brokers have to understand the floor well in order to know where to buy which stock.

In order to trade on the floor, stock brokers must hold one of the 1,366 seats available. These seats are bought and sold similar to stocks. The price goes up and down just like stocks do and are generally very expensive.

When you watch the news during the financial segment, they often tell you how the Dow or the S&P 500 is doing. These are both Stock Market Indexes. The Dow is short for Dow Jones Industrial Average. It includes 30 large companies.

Indexes are often used as a measuring point for how well the market is doing as a whole. The Dow is calculated through a price weighted average. Instead of a simple average, it is calculated by adding together the price of each of the 30 stocks and dividing it by 30 in order to keep it proportional.

The S&P 500 is often considered a better index to look at because it includes 500 stocks and is market value-weighted. They compute the value based upon the market value of the shares outstanding. An example would be if one stock has three times as many stock outstanding, it will be counted three times as much.

Market Value Indexes were created to evaluate the stock market as a whole. By comparing one index from one time to another, they can see if the market has been going up or down and how quickly. You will often see these indexes being stated on financial television channels and during financial segments of the news.

Successful traders cut their losses short and realize that you can't get 100% of winning trades. We all try, but we can't. So cut losses.

Secret 7: WHO wants to be a millionaire? Don't Put it all in One Trade

Use risk and money management to protect your capital, divide your trading capital into 10 equal parts and never lose more than 10 percent on one trade. If you lost the first trade, you still have nine more opportunities to be right. Putting all your capital on one trade is suicidal and you will go down.

Secret 8: NEVER MEET MARGIN CALLS - CUT THE $hit- Saves you Money

When you are wrong about the market, get out, admit it and move on. Once you start thinking, very often prices will go against your position, further triggering a margin call from your broker. A margin call simply means that you are wrong in the market and your position should be closed out. Margin calls are made because people do not want to admit being wrong and take a loss; they hope the market will eventually go in their direction and that they will get there money back. It will come back, I am not wrong. Yes you are.. Get out. To avoid this mistake, you should never meet margin calls. Just cut your losses and "get the hell out".

Secret 9: Transfer Profits

Probably no more than 1% of traders have a rule to take profits out of their trading account. The few wise investors I know have bought their house, a car or simply put part of their winnings into a fixed deposit account, or into some long term shares, otherwise the chances are high that they may lose them all back.

A Quick Look At Keyword Density

Keyword density is an indicator of the number of times the selected keyword appears in the web page. But pay attention, keywords shouldnt be over used, but should be just sufficient enough to appear at important places.

If you repeat your keywords with every other word on every line, then your website will probably be rejected as an artificial site or spam site.

Keyword density is always expressed as a percentage of the total word content on a given web page.

Suppose you have 100 words on your webpage (not including HMTL code used for writing the web page), and you use a certain keyword for five times in the content. The keyword density on that page is got by simply dividing the total number of keywords, by the total number of words that appear on your web page. So here it is 5 divided by 100 = .05. Because keyword density is a percentage of the total word count on the page, multiply the above by 100, that is 0.05 x 100 = 5%

The accepted standard for a keyword density is between 3% and 5%, to get recognized by the search engines and you should never exceed it.

Remember, that this rule applies to every page on your site. It also applies to not just to one keyword but also a set of keywords that relates to a different product or service. The keyword density should always be between 3% and 5%.

Simple steps to check the density:

Copy and paste the content from an individual web page into a word-processing software program like Word or Word Perfect.

Go to the Edit menu and click Select All. Now go to the Tools menu and select Word Count. Write down the total number of words in the page.

Now select the Find function on the Edit menu. Go to the Replace tab and type in the keyword you want to find. Replace that word with the same word, so you dont change the text.

When you complete the replace function, the system will provide a count of the words you replaced. That gives the number of times you have used the keyword in that page.

Using the total word count for the page and the total number of keywords you can now calculate the keyword density.

All you need now is little something that actually tells you what the absolute best and most profitable keywords to use are. And yes, that tool does exist! Not only does it tell you what the most profitable keywords you need to be using, it tells you:

* If an Adwords advertiser is a clickbank, paydotcom, or amazon affiliate

* See any Adwords advertiser's daily Adwords spending, clicks per day, cost per click

Salary Negotiation Taboo #1

One of my newsletter subscribers asked me whether or not it was okay to talk about salary during the first interview with an employer. They were worried that it would give the wrong impression. How could they avoid revealing their salary expectations too soon? They were wondering how they could postpone this discussion until the right time. My golden rule is to never lie to anyone. Therefore you need some good strategies to avoid this topic until the last minute.

When I have been pressured by HR for an response to that question in the past, my preferred approach is outlined in the following checklist.

1) The approach I would take would be to ask to table the question until later in the interview or for another day. It is important to me that we have first come to a common understanding on the roles and responsibilities of the job, and also, the type of experience I bring to the job, and what I will be contributing to the new company. I would prefer to be paid in line with the current job market and within the companies standards for this role.

2) If I am pressured for an answer in an interview where the request is to provide my previous salary, I set out the total value of what I expect the compensation package will hopefully include. That is cash value for the time and effort (salary), list the benefits in as much detail as I can, how much holiday, and other working conditions such as flex time, or time off in place of worked overtime. I also prefer to reiterate that the job I am looking towards is not with the same company and thus my previous earnings not very relevant. In reality, there are so many things to consider, such as home life balance, health benefits, vacations, overtime, etc,etc, that factor in. What is most important to me is that my salary will be aligned within a margin of my past job, and does the package I am offered match what is reasonable for the current job market which can be totally different.

3) It is very important to be aware before interviewing for the job, what the range is for that position. It is important to determine where I believe I fit within the market percentiles for that job. Most people do not meet the top end of the salary range, and there needs to be room to grow into it. I don't recommend asking for the highest salary in the range unless you know you are a total super star. Your super star status will be confirmed by reference checks, so be reasonable, but also, don't undersell yourself.

4) Regardless of your past salary that you earned in that job role, you should expect to be paid fairly for the current market conditions. You should explain to the new employer that regardless of your past salary, whether it was at or below the market range, you would like to be paid at the salary level that is fair. Your reasons for having a lower than average salary in the past are not pertinent to the new job, and your life situation has changed. Therefore your goal is to have a fair salary negotiation that both sides will be pleased with.

5) If you disclose your salary history information, remember to state your case about the relevance of the information. You may give your personal reasons for accepting the lower pay, but most important is to explain you want the outcome of the salary negotiation to be one where both parties are respected, and that they feel a sense of win-win in the outcome.

Whatever you to, be completely truthful during interviews. The employer has many ways of getting information and they will find out your true salary history if they are so determined. They will also learn about your past performance, and they may even ask you to produce a pay stub to prove your past salary. Remember you're a highly skilled worker, and you bring a lot of value to the position. You just need the skills to communicate that value clearly and effectively to the new employer.

Remember, don't dismiss the notion of negotiating your salary just because the economy is on the edge of a recession. On the contrary, look for the most suitable approach, do some market research and build your supportive case.

Every day I talk about article submission and how it has astronomical benefits. I can't think of a better way that you can market your business in todays economy. I would go out on a limb and say there is no way you could get all of this for free:

- Articles are viral marketing. Webmasters are all over the internet looking for articles to add to their website as content. Each time they do this they have to link back to you.

- Each link you receive from a different website from your article efforts can actually be counted like a vote for your website for the words that you use in your link.

- The anchor text and vote count towards moving your site up in the search engines.

- When your website reaches the number one position for a keyword that is searched frequently you get to display an ad to those people. The volume of people seeing that ad is greater than you could hit with any single advertisement unless you are advertising in the Superbowl.

I think the most wonderful thing about article submission is that it is free to do. You seriously could advertise your business to more people over time than the Superbowl and not spend a dime. Compare that to the millions they charge for a 30 second spot. You tell me a better way to market your business.

How do you do it free?

- Start by writing articles. If you are in business this should not be too hard, hopefully you know something about your business.

- There are tons of blogs, directories, ezines and more that you can submit your article to and get it published. If they publish, free link!

- Go to each directory that you can find and submit the article, it is time consuming but if you want to do this for free this is the way.

Sounds like a lot of work! Let me tell you what I do. I use a service that will submit articles for you, and it is better than any submission software.

Some services are scams, but the one I use does this:

- Submits my article to thousands of directories, blogs and ezines. As long as it is on topic for that specific directory it is submitted.

- When this site sends out my article they send out unique versions of it. They do this by having me submit 3 versions of the same article. Then they mix up my versions even more and distribute them. This way each site can have their own version which makes my article more valuable to them, and the links more valuable to me.

- They also have a tested strategic method of submitting articles so that the search engines give them more value. I hate wasting any time so this is just what I need.

- Saves me a ton of time, it does all this on auto pilot, all I do is write articles!

To conclude, if you are looking for a great way to market your business, article submission is the way to go. If you have a little money to invest, your best investment would be the thirty bucks a month it costs to have professionals submit them like I do.

Always identify strong support/resistance levels. 20. Always lock in a profit at predetermined increments on profiting trades. 21. EVERY trade must have stop losses 22. Always distribute your risk equally among different markets. 23. Don't be a one trick pony, make money from both sides of the market 24. Always reduce trading after the first loss; never increase. 25. Always cut your losses short and let your profits run. 26. When in doubt, get out. Do not get in when in doubt. 27. Only trade active markets- illiquid markets will leave you thirsty 28. Only pyramid trades that have a strong trend and should be accomplished once the price has crossed support/resistance. 29. Profits from a successful trade should be kept for future trade margins or put somewhere else, spread the risk.

Some Further Guide lines

Who are you? Are you a risk taker? Can you afford to lose money? First thing to do is to understand yourself the type of trader that you are, whether aggressive or conservative, long-term or short. If you are short term and trade goes bad, cut it, don't become a long term trader, otherwise you buying and hoping, not even buying and holding. Have a trading strategy before entering the market. Know before the trade is executed where you will take profits/loss. Understand why a win/loss occurred and how you could of made the trade better. Consistency is the key to trading success, without it you have nothing. Your judgment is the only concern, do not let outside factors affect the way you trade. Not everyone can be a trader, deem yourself worthy if given this opportunity.

Home equity line for real estate investing?

We all know by now that home owners have a hidden savings account...its called HOME EQUITY.

Equity is the value of your home minus the remaining mortgage balance which is outstanding. While you live, eat and sleep in your home worrying about debts or wishing you could refurnish the living room you may be sitting on the cash that will grant your wishes.

Would You Want an Equity Line of Credit?

With a normal loan, which deposits a set amount of money in your account and begins charging you interest and payments at a fixed rate until repaid, a line of credit acts sort of like a credit card account. You do not need to pay interest on the full amount you have access to -- only on the amount you have used. (And in some cases you then have access to the account again.)

Using an equity line of credit (also known as a HELOC) gives you greater flexibility with the least cost. Not only can you access the credit only as you need it,your monthly payments will reflect only the balanced used. Some lines of credit have only the interest as the minimum payment which can be helpful when finances are tight.

An equity line of credit is a nice thing to have when you don't have a large fixed amount to spend in one place, and when you repay it you want access to the credit without asking for a new loan when you have paid it back.

Do I have limits on what I can use the loan for???

While you can no doubt find numerous uses for your line of credit, here are samples of the more common reasons for obtaining an equity line of credit.

Consolidate Debts

Use the home equity line to reduce or consolidate your other debt. Not only will this help your credit score...but it can help reduce your interest payments as well.

Second mortgage

Use the equity line to pay off or down your second...in some cases paying down will also allow you to reduce the interest rate. (which is normally higher on a second)

Travel, remodel, or Addon

Go on a vacation, re-do a room, or buy a car...all with a interest rate that is far lower then most credit cards. This fact alone makes it ideal for large cost purchases.

Ok...so whats the Down Side?

Now it isn't just 'easy money'. It does have risk to it.

Some debts -- like student loans- have features that you may not be entitled to if you switch them to an equity line of credit.

Other items like cars and vacations may seem like a good idea to buy with your home equity line of credit, but with the ability to pay only the interest you may find the motivation to pay off the debt is lacking and end up owing for items that have lost their value or were consumable. Plan to pay off the debt quickly for the most advantage.

A Second mortgage (or refinancing) may or may not be a good idea depending on interest rates and your repayment terms. While lines of credit take advantage of current low interest rates you may find that your regular loans protect you better from fluctuating rates if you will not be paying the loan down in the next few years.

Using your finances wisely can give you great relief and freedom. Before taking on any financial obligations it is important to understand the risks as well as the benefits.

How Long does the Google Sandbox Last

If you have ever read anything on search engine optimization or tried it, chances are you have been told about the famed Google Sandbox. The fact is nobody at Google has ever admitted that it exists, and nobody really has proof. It is believed by some that Google has some sort of filter that prevents websites from being ranked good when they are new, to prevent spam sites.

Does it exist? I dont really know. The only way to tell is to do such good optimization that it would put your site at number one in a single day. I am pretty sure that nobody can do that.

My thing is I had a site that got to the first page of Google for a competitive word in less than thirty days. I will tell you that about 2 weeks after registering the domain I was indexed at about 110 and then I jumped to 40. Is that the sandbox? Maybe. But the key is 2 weeks after that I was at number 10. I think that may have been a result of increased optimization efforts, not a sandbox.

So to get to the point, it may exist but I beat it in less than a month. If you are such a good SEO that you can optimize a site that should make it to page one in less than 30 days then props to you. I think my site getting on page one of Google in 30 days, before Yahoo even indexed me, is an indication that the Sandbox is fluff.

I think what people refer to as the sandbox is simply the fact that it takes a little time to outrank sites that have been indexed for some time. I mean the fact is to get a higher ranking you have to pass sites that were there before you.

Have you ever heard that it takes money to make money? Have you perhaps invested several hundred dollars in a business opportunity only to realize it really did not offer results? There are literally thousands of books, courses, and programs promising a dream of working from home, but how many really pay off?

There are probably more scams promoted under this theme than any other. Some purport fantastic guarantees. Some insist there is no selling needed, no product needed, no work involved; just rake in the money. Perhaps you have tried some of those MLM, Network Marketing, or Home Business ventures only to end up broke and disappointed. I understand because I have been there too.

Dont get me wrong, I still believe in my own home based business. I still believe people can make a living without a job. I assure you, I am not some rich guy either. You see, I still believe in work too. I just like to work from my house instead of driving to some factory job or office.

Since the late 1960s my wife has operated an intermittent sewing business from our home. Now she did not get rich, but the extra money did help. As a small church pastor for over 30 years, we had to pinch every penny. By working only a couple of hours per day, Donna was able to bring in a few hundred dollars a week. When she didnt want to work, she didnt. Her business activities were a bit hit and miss. She would go for a year or so, and do no business at all. If she was teaching school, she did less sewing. It was her choice. When we needed extra money, she would let her friends know and maybe run a small classified ad in the newspaper. In a matter of a few days, she would have work to do.

By the time our youngest child was entering middle school, Donna wanted to do more than just an occasional project. So she started running a small ad in the classifieds. She passed out business cards, and generally let everyone know she was available to do custom sewing. She was already an expert and well known through church circles, but the advertising did help. Soon work was coming in by the bag full. An interesting thing happened, however, we also started getting requests from sewers for sewing machine repair.

I thought I can do that. So, in 1992, I started learning how to repair sewing machines. I ran a little ad in the local newspaper, and soon had half dozen machines to repair every week. Over time, we opened a sewing store, and the repair business grew. We expanded and the repair business grew. We now own three sewing stores and do about 150 sewing machine repairs each month.

Not everyone sews today. Those who do, however, do so with such passion that it overwhelms. When I talk with non sewers, and mention what I do, they sometimes look at me as if to say, You arent Amish are you? Many people just do not realize how big the sewing business is in America.

I explain that there are some 85 million sewing machines in use just in the United States. Another 5 million new machines are sold every year. And guess what. Every one of those sewing machines requires sewing machine service and repair annually. That is a lot of sewing machines to fix.

I am not going to tell you that you can make a bundle of money without doing any work; but from my own experience, I will tell your there is a big opportunity in sewing machine repair. Here are some advantages: you can learn it in a matter of weeks; you can do business from your kitchen table, shop, or garage; you need no big overhead; you need no large investment; and you need no employees.

Start out by letting all your friends, neighbors, people at church, and everywhere else that you do sewing machine repair. Run a small ad in the newspaper. Pass out business cards. Maybe do a dozen or so machines free of charge. Then charge about half what the city sewing machine shops charge for another dozen or so. Then set your prices just under your competition.

Nobody can guarantee you will make any money at all in your own business. It is certain that if you do not work at it, you will make no money. On the other hand, the potential for your own sewing machine repair business operated from your home is very real. For example, lets say you decide to charge $80.00 per standard service. Since you have no overheard, employees, or other major expenses the $80.00 is yours. If it takes you 2.5 hours to complete the service, what is your hourly rate? Now can you live with better than $30.00 per hour? If you did just one machine a week you would earn over $4,000 per year. All this for working about 2.5 hours per week at home.

The more machines your repair, the more money you will make. The more machines you do, the faster you will be able to complete a service. If you want to expand your business, all you have to do is increase the number of machines you repair. For example, lets say you contact a church group and agree to service twenty sewing machines in the month of January. That would be about 6 machines a week. Or maybe you decide you want to take off for vacation or Christmas holidays and do no machines for a week or two. You are in control. Remember, on average you will need to schedule about two and a half hours per machine. If you want to work twenty hours this week, you might compete 8 to 10. Now, what if you did on average 5 machines a week. How much would you earn for each one? In a month? In a year? Increase the average by just one machine per week and see an additional $4000.00 per year.

Now if you were to expand and set up a few collection sites in quilt shops, fabric stores, and other repair shops; what kind of potential do think you could achieve?

The potential of this business really depends on you. How your sewing machine repair skills develop; How long it takes you to fully service a sewing machine, How many customers you attract; and How much you charge all contribute to the potential of your business. You can open a sewing machine store, run advertising, or hire an employee any time you choose. If you do all the work yourself fulltime, you will likely peak between fifteen and twenty machines per week. If you charge $99 per machine, then your projected potential would be between $75,000 and $100,000 per year. If you charge less, you will earn less. If you do fewer machines or more machines, you will earn accordingly.

Here is a business that is practical and doable. It does require some basic mechanical skills, common hand tools, some sewing machine repair training, and a bit of work. It does not require a large investment. It does not require hiring employees. It does not require large over head, renting facilities, or opening a store. The potential of this business depends on you reaching out to those who sew and quilt to attract customers and properly servicing their sewing machines. You can start very part time and gradually expand your business as you desire.

I suffer from heel spurs. These are calcium deposits on the bones that make running painful. I created them years ago, when I was an obese jogger. All that pounding on the pavement with all that weight caused the bones to make heel spurs.

Mine are large and painful. I went to the doctor and she said they were the biggest she had ever seen. I had to stop jogging. I had to wear shoe inserts. It was no fun.

Because I have the core belief that anything can be healed, I kept searching for a cure. One day I saw an ad for a new running shoe that seemed promising.

The shoe has a computer chip in it that analyzes where you are running and adjusts the shoe's heel to give you the best cushion. I know this sounds sci-fi but I was desperate. Plus I love cool gadgets. So I ordered a pair.

They arrived in a large box, protected by foam inserts. There were batteries and an instruction manual. I felt like I had ordered an odd new laptop.

But the shoes.

Ah, the shoes.

They looked like they were designed for Flash, the famous DC Comics character who could zip around the world in seconds.

I put the shoes on, turned them on, and grabbed the dog. We went for a run. I was amazed at how easy and smooth it was to jog again. I was running faster than the dog. I felt like I could run forever.

I felt like The Flash.

But the real deciding factor would be the next day. If there was going to be any pain, I'd feel it in the morning. In the past, if I did too much on my feet, I'd wake up with an aching heel. And I'd limp all day.

Well, the next morning came and there wasn't any pain at all. None.

In fact, I just moments ago went for yet another run in my new shoes. I got the idea to write this article for you while jogging down the road.

PROPER RESEARCH IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST

Research requires due diligence on your part, spend time with research. You must know the average selling price on eBay of the product you have decided to sell. On the main search page, located to the right of the search button is an [Advanced Search] button. Next, open the Advanced Search link, enter a keyword(s) for your product.
Select a category, check the Completed Listings button, then Search. Now what you have on your screen are items that have recently closed on eBay. The products which have Sold will be highlighted Green. The products that did not sell, you will see highlighted in Red or Black. The Red items are unsold Auctions, the Black items are Unsold Buy it Now items. Take this data and place in an excel worksheet that you might review in future.

SHIPPING IS ANOTHER CRITICAL STEP
eBay buyers have become quite attuned to shipping fees. eBay sellers of old, many times would list a spectacular price on the item. When the buyer went to pay, whoa, shipping was astronomically high (packing in more profit). Many buyers now search for products that promot Free Shipping, this offer gains respect of buyers. Repeat sales can be a future result of Free Shipping, or low priced shipping.
Being fair with your shipping fees can increase sales by word of mouth and repeat business.
